Pet Peeves Icons (no, not the poltergeist)
The results of my pizza-and-icons session, in case anyone wants them. Tiny little GIFs, mostly harmless - suitable for random venting, polite hints, or New Year resolutions.

Total of 30 peeves: a few HP-specific, others all-purpose. If your pet peeve isn't here but you think it's iconable, shout. (Comments and credits are nice, but not mandatory.)

How odd. I amended the name of the icon after I replied, somehow causing my default icon to appear instead.

Oh well. Live and learn.

*snorts* Most of these could/should be "Dear World".

And I have to say, I have seen my university students not know the difference between "rape", "rap", and "wrap" and the ever confused "you're" and "your". But I think my favourite confusion is "heroin" and "heroine". It really makes a difference when someone has their arm wrapped firmly around the heroin. :D

Now, see, "baited breath" and "bare with me" could work just fine if someone with fishy breath wanted to get naked with someone else. :D

I've seen it several times in multiple fandoms, usually someone giving a 'bemused' smile at something they enjoy.
